Car Infos from Simraceway :

Nicknamed “Vader”, Team Cal Simraceway’s 2011-12 Formula SAE car was UC Berkeley’s entry into the FSAE West 2011 competition, established to put students’ engineering skills to the test.

Sponsored by Simraceway and powered by the same 600cc Suzuki GSX-R600 engine as its predecessor, the 85-bhp racer represented the world-famous institution with distinction in the prestigious event, held at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California in June 2011.

The car retains a variety of parts used in the team’s previous models, including its drivetrain, Keizer wheels, Penske 7800 shocks, Eibach 1.625-inch ID ERS springs, Brembo P32G brake calipers, and Woodhaven Industries 12:1 steering rack with Ackerman steering.

However it employs a significantly heavier 4130 steel tubular spaceframe chassis, with composite shear panel reinforcement, a slightly shorter 61.5-inch wheelbase, and uses Hoosiers in place of the Goodyears worn in previous competitions.

To put the skills of UC Berkeley’s finest to the test and find out if the force is still strong with Vader, buy the Simraceway FSAE B11 now on Simraceway.

One Thought to “FSAE B11 v1.0”

  1. Anders Bricquet

Too slow of a vehicle to enjoy on most circuits. Acceleration and top speed very unimpressive. Driver is missing from the cockpit view.
