The 1970 World Sportscar Championship season was the 18th season of FIA World Sportscar Championship motor racing. It featured the 1970 International Championship for Makes and the 1970 International Cup for GT Cars, which were contested concurrently from 31 January to 11 October over a ten race series. The International Championship for Makes, which was open to Group 6 Sports-Prototypes, Group 5 Sports Cars and Group 4 Special GT Cars, was won by German manufacturer Porsche. The International Cup for GT Cars was also won by Porsche.

Mod Infos (Version 1.0 by DM2zzion) :

As the Power and Glory Mod v3 was released a few days ago, I worked again on my personal conversion and solved some problems, now I want to share it with you. Credits are going to CSGT for the great great WSC 1970 Mod for rFactor, and to Hubert who converted some cars to GTL, this was the base of my work. I converted the GTL version, remapped some things and tried to make it run well.

Included are the following cars with several paintjobs from the 1970 WSC:

Alfa-Romeo 33-3
Chevron B16
Ferrari 312P
Ferrari 512S Coda Lunga
Healey XR37
Lola T70
Matra MS650
Porsche 908-2
Porsche 908-3
Porsche 917K
Porsche 917L

known bugs :

the Motecs aren’t working in every car and the Chevron has big troubles, the AI can’t drive this car (very slow) and specific engine files of the Chevron would need new aud files, but I don’t know how to create them.

However driving these cars (it’s a real challenge) makes much fun and I just love them, especially the 917 and I think many members here are liking them too.

Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/3 :
– fixed flickering on cockpit chassis

Chevron B16 :
– fixed transparent parts shining through chassis
– fixed shining tires through chassis
– fixed / updated all sound files (.aud)
– fixed AI / KI driving
– fixed front tilt sidewards on B16 Wankel

Ferrari 312P :
– improved material settings on wheels (darker, less glare)

Ferrari 512 S Coda Lunga :
– corrected wrong placed numberplate on Team No.11
– created / added dirt textures for all skins
– improved material settings (now darker, less glare)

Healey Repco XR37 :
– fixed transparent rims
– improved material settings on wheels

Lola T70 Chevrolet :
– created dirt texture for skin #02 and 86

Porsche 908/2 :
– corrected cockpit warning lights positions
– improved windows

Porsche 908/3 :
– corrected cockpit warning lights
– improved material settings for rims

Porsche 917K / L :
– fixed shining light-parts in wheel case
– added missing top-window
– fixed transparent rear-parts
– added partly new, much better cockpit textures and parts (created by Chiefwiggum)
– reworked cockpit warning lights and Motec position
– improved several material settings
– removed unused files from 917L

updates on all cars :

– fixed several translucent (multiple) parts
– reworked / added / activated MoTeCs and warning lights
– improved seat, feed on pedals, Eyepoint, FirstPerson and CameraTarget positions
– corrected RPM Lights Range values (Peak LED)
– corrected SoundPosition and EngineEmission values
– added GTR2 default driver (external and internal)
– added exhaust smoke
– added new Sound Effects (from eSR Classic Trophy)
– created new folder structure for sounds
– removed multiple existing sound files
– added showroom tec specs
– added original author ReadMe’s from rFactor
– and some more i can’t remember…

Install :

extract the .rar file with WinRAR or similar unpacker and copy-paste the GameData folder to
your GTR2 main directory – allow to overwrite all existing folders / files with “YES ALL” – done.

    Wasn’t there a version of this with some GT cars, including the Ferrari Daytona? I wish that was still around.

    Wanna suggest “The Pink Pig” skin for Porsche.
