Darlington Raceway is a race track built for NASCAR racing located near Darlington, South Carolina. It is nicknamed “The Lady in Black” and “The Track Too Tough to Tame” by many NASCAR fans and drivers and advertised as “A NASCAR Tradition.” It is of a unique, somewhat egg-shaped design, an oval with the ends of very different configurations, a condition which supposedly arose from the proximity of one end of the track to a minnow pond the owner refused to relocate. This situation makes it very challenging for the crews to set up their cars’ handling in a way that will be effective at both ends.

Darlignton Raceway is a conversion from Joe03’s rFactor version. Joe granted me permission to convert his Darlington track over to GTR2. This track has working Nightlights (Thanks Joe), Flag Marshals, start lights, pitlights, pace car, rain reflections and a full 43 car field. Please see original readme. I would liKe to thank Joe03 from over at JNSonline.net for the original conversion, RacerM for his tutorial for converting rFactor tracks (wich I have memorized to the last word) and Dave Noonan for his great program 3Dsimed.
The Ai gets a little crazy here at Darlington, and when one gets a little loose (usually in turn 4) they usually get plowed into by a few more AI. Alot of AI DNF’s a race, Engine failure, gearbox
failures and many due to accidents.

Installation Instructions :
extract the .rar file with WinRAR or similar unpacker and drop the
track-folder into your GTR2\GameData\Locations\…directory – done.
