Track Infos from Wiki :

The Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans, also known as Circuit de la Sarthe (after the 1906 French Grand Prix triangle circuit) located in Le Mans, Sarthe, France, is a semi-permanent motorsport race course chiefly known as the venue for the 24 Hours of Le Mans auto race. Comprising private, race-specific sections of track in addition to public roads which remain accessible most of the year, its present configuration is 13.626 kilometres (8.467 mi) long, making it one of the longest circuits in the world. Capacity of the race stadium, where the short Bugatti Circuit is situated, is 100,000. The Musée des 24 Heures du Mans is a motorsport museum located at the main entrance of the venue.

Up to 85% of the lap time is spent on full throttle, putting immense stress on engine and drivetrain components. However, the times spent reaching maximum speed also mean tremendous wear on the brakes and suspension as cars must slow from over 320 km/h (200 mph) to around 100 km/h (60 mph) for the sharp corner at the village of Mulsanne.

Virtual Track Infos :

This track was originally created by Codemasters. It was converted to rFactor by Triebie. I spoke with Triebie and he was kind enough to let me convert it to GTR2. This is the first version of the track an improved version of the track will be forthcoming.

CREDITS:

TRIEBIE – The track was coverted to rFactor by Triebie. He also added all the lighting effects as well as the nightlight glows and bulbs which are superb. I will assume he did all the AIW work as well.

PYCAT – PYCAT did all of the camera work for the track which is excellent. I always like his cams his is one of the greats.

RacerM – I converted the track to GTR2 from Triebies work. I added a new skyboxi the original one was flawed and distorted. I added a new Ferris Wheel, I couldn’t get the old original one to work in the conversion. It keep causing a ctd. I also altered PYCAT’s cams and divided them into two files. I also changed the settings on the surfaces so that there would not be any flickering or bats at night.

You can decide which one you like and place it in the track. I also Added a new LOD made from the original LeMans 2011 poster.

Installations:

Just drop it in the locations folder of the track. Please remove and backup any other versions of Le Mans 2011 tracks to avoide conflict.

BUGS:

I have not done rain reflections yet, or marshals. don’t know how to rain reflections. If someone else wants to do them please feel free and then send me the files so I can add them to the folder. starting lights don’t work properly.

UPDATES:

I don’t know why I like this track but I do, even though it is grossly inaccurate. I will be adding crowds, crowdsounds and announcer sounds.

WARNINGS:

Lately I have had several people taking my previous work and redistributing is as their own. I am normally an easy going and laid back guy but this is getting out of hand. I am not a glory hound but I normally ask for credit so that I can give credit to all the folks who have helped me work on a track and given their knowledge to me to help me to get it to work.

Many of us track makers work to together on projects and lend advice when we have problems; so when see a track pop up on a site they we know we worked on and the person said that they did it all themselves or claim it is thier’s it kinda gets on our nerves to say the least.

THAT BEING SAID, I NOW PUT MARKERS IN MY TRACK TO PROVE ITS MY WORK. IF YOU LOAD IT ON A SITE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, YOU WILL GET CALLED OUT. PLEASE DON’T BRING THIS ON YOURSELF.

It only takes a pm or email to ask for permission.

Please do not post this track on another site without contacting me thank you.
