Car Infos from Wikipedia :

The Audi R18 is a Le Mans Prototype (LMP) racing car constructed by the German car manufacturer Audi AG. It is the successor to the Audi R15 TDI. Like its predecessor, the R18 uses a TDI turbocharged diesel engine but with a reduced capacity of 3.7 litres and in a V6 configuration.

For the first time since the 1999 R8C, Audi’s Le Mans prototype uses a closed cockpit design. The R18 is also the first racing car from Audi to feature hybrid power.

2014-spec R18 e-tron quattro :

Changes from 2013 R18 e-tron quattro include the introduction of blue laser beam backlights with a yellow phosphor crystal lens complementing the LED headlights, a revised V6 TDI engine with an electric turbocharger, upgrades to the flywheel accumulator system andan exhaust heat recovery system. The system captures the thermal energy from the exhaust and can add power to either the turbocharger or the flywheel accumulator system.

5 Thoughts to “Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro 2014 v1.1”

  1. Beco1

Thank you! For me the windscreen is very dark. Is it me or an actual issue and could I fix it myself maybe!? Thx.

    1. hello Beco1,

Do you have the problem only with this car or also with others? I don’t have the problem – my graphic settings are all on the highest level, even in the game.

start “GTR2Config.exe” in the GTR2 directory and check the settings – the shader level should be set to “Auto” – if you have set DirectX 7-8-9 there, that could possibly be the problem.

      1. Beco1

Changing to Auto did not help (but gonna stay on that setting from now on anyway. I had read in the past that it should be on DX9) but removing the entries of dirt/rainscreen in the .cas file did the trick for me. Very nice model, highly detailed and runs very fine now. Thank you very much again! 🙂
