The Ferrari GTO (often referred to as Ferrari 288 GTO) (Type F114) is an exotic homologation of the Ferrari 308 GTB produced from 1984 to 1987 in Ferrari’s Maranello factory, designated GT for Gran Turismo and O for Omologata (homologated in Italian)

i made some improvements for this old mod
– reworked / created new windows template (upscaled from 512 to 1024 px), it can be used for internal and external windows, template can be found in the “Extras” folder.
– corrected distorted mirror glasses (doorside)
– added new middle cockpit mirror
– created new cockpit chassis
– centered steeringwheel correctly
– fixed visible engine hood on cockpit mirrors
– reworked CAS file
– corrected / improved some .car file entries
– added 2048×2048 skins for all teams *
– added some extra teams, found in the high-reso skinpack
– added new shadow texture for body (better anti-aliasing)
* i found a “high-resolution skinpack” on any rFactor webside, however, it looks as if the original templates were simply upscaled from 1024 to 2048 px.
Deinstall / Install Instructions :
i recommend always to DELETE FIRST any previous versions of this
car / mod to prevent crashes / mismatches !
for that, navigate into your “GTR2-GameData-Teams” directory and delete the complete folder “Ferrari 288 GTO” – done.
to install, extract with WinRAR or else and drop the GameData folder into your GTR2 main-directory – allow to overwrite existing one with “YES ALL” – done.
No original GTR2 files will be overwritten.
