This is an excellent Mod. The cars work well and have good sounds. But most important this mod allows good close racing with the AI.
The “Grid Prototypes” consist of many different car brands and models. Not only do they vary in ‘exterior’ appearance, but they each have different ‘cockpits,’ custom engine sounds, and physics. One of these cars that I test drove on GTR2 had a functioning speedometer, and wasn’t too difficult to steer with the ‘traction control’ set to ‘LOW’ in the ‘REALISM’ menu. However, the cockpit view of this car was somewhat ‘limited/obfuscated’ by a smaller sized windshield, etc. — which made driving this car around the track quite challenging.
And yet a different make and model of car from this “Grid Prototype” pack had much more ‘visibility’ from the cockpit view……and yet no functioning speedometer. I also needed to change the ‘traction control’ to ‘HIGH’ in the ‘REALISM’ menu to be able to drive this car around a track.
