Radical SR4 v1.0

Radical SR4 for GTR2

converted from RACE07 by RMi

Mod Infos :

This is a direct conversion of Race07 to the GTR2 platform. No changes in physics have been made (except for the RMi cars). Only enhanced graphics such as emaps and texture quality have
been changed. Other graphical features disabled in Race07 are now present such as discbrake glow and enhanced shadows.

RMi teams do not represent any real life racing series, nor do they represent any actual race team. The RMi physics are however loosely based on real team specifications. Extensive research has been done, the cars are set up as a team “might” recieve a fresh car from the factory, thus some dialing in will be needed to achieve a truly ballanced car for the track.

RMi physics:

* Dyno matched engine(s)
* Realistic aerodynamics
* Balanced suspension
* Track researched tires
* Full garage options for comprehensive tuning

Install:

Extract to your X:\GTR2 folder

Expansion:

All skins created for Race07 will work with this conversion.

Known Issues:

– No “visor” view ala Race07 (do we miss that at all ?)

Try DRW’s Helmet inside view mod

Car Infos from australia.radicalsportscars.com :

The SR4 CS succeeded the hugely successful Clubsport/Prosport range, and remains faithful to its grassroots by remaining fast and easy to drive whilst inexpensive to own.

Its styling was inspired by the Le Mans-winning Bentley Speed 8 and it is the first step on the Radical ownership ladder. Grassroots competition pedigree and a compact two-seater body mean it’s an ideal introductory track car, as well as being a class leader on the European hillclimb and sprint scene. Just as importantly it is great fun to drive, thanks in part to its perfect weight distribution.

This nimble, agile sportscar changes direction quickly, inspiring confidence in all drivers, and has a strong, safe chassis in line with the rest of the SR range. On its launch in 2004, the SR4 immediately scooped evo magazine’s coveted Trackday Car of the Year award.

Allied to the 210bhp Powertec four-cylinder engine and its integral six-speed sequential gearbox, the SR4 CS uses Powertec’s proven Power-Drive chain drive system, with a Quaife ATB differential and reversing system. This engine breathes through a ram-air induction system for maximum performance, a feature shared with its larger brother the SR3 RS.

Erata :

We wish to thank SimBin for the base content, 3dmodels and physics this conversion is based on. We encourage the community to produce high quality add-ons such as sounds, wheels, real life team skins and championship series. Add-ons will be directly convertable to Race07 and will help to push the decision to purchase the full game for those that have not yet done so. RMi clearly believes that this conversion will enhance the already great product from Simbin, and in no way should this conversion release be considered a Race07 purchase alternative.
