Mod Infos :

Volvo – The Game is a free racing simulation video game for Windows, developed by SimBin Studios (later Sector3 Studios) and released in May 2009.

Includes the Volvo C30, S60, S40, 850 and the 240 Turbo Group A.

general updates on all cars :

– reworked / improved values in .car files
– updated .aud files (mainly sound volume)
– added Race07 Hansdevice and Helmet to all cars
– updated CAS files
– improved expo floor shadows (size)
– added new mirror texture for more detailed view
– created main folder / structure for sounds
– added new skins / teams *
– added templates
– and some more i can’t remember…

* Addon Skins / Teams created by alexSchmurtz, Turb, tmsr and Usher (found on nogripracing)

specific updates on cars :

Volvo 240 :
– reworked powered light textures (powered lights are now better visible)
– reworked rainscreen (improved positions)
– corrected powered front lights position
– renamed material for cockpit windows (individual banner can now be saved as xxx_cpit01.dds)

Volvo 850 :
– moved internal cockpit and parts more backwards (now there are no more chassis parts visible in cockpit)
– renamed material for cockpit windows (individual banner can now be saved as xxx_cpit01.dds)
– closed visible gaps on side windows (cockpit view)
– reworked powered light textures (powered lights are now better visible)
– reworked rainscreen (improved positions)
– improved external racing seat position

Volvo S40 :
– added new rainscreen
– corrected rear lights position (now side lights correct visible)
– reworked powered light textures (powered lights are now better visible)
– renamed material for cockpit windows (individual banner can now be saved as xxx_cpit01.dds)

Volvo S60 Concept / Race :
– added rainscreen
– added cockpit driver
– reduced internal steeringwheel size so that the driver hands match on it
– added MoTeC, available over Genstring #3 (1=no Motec, 2=Motec visible) *
– reworked powered light textures (powered lights are now better visible)
– added exhaust smoke

* this car has original no working display / motec

Volvo C30 and S60 :

this 2 models have been missing in the conversion by germanStig, so i took them from my eSR World Touring Cars Series and added all original physics / files / skins and so on from the Volvo Game.

Install :

extract with WinRAR or else and drop the GameData folder into your
GTR2 main-directory – allow to overwrite existing one with “YES ALL” – done.
