FIA GT 2009 Mod for GTR2

This mod requires many other mods to make it work – I personally don’t like it to install different mods to get one mod to work. you have to download the mods from different sources (if these are still available), install it in the correct sequence aso…and finaly something is missing and the game will crash –  that is far too complex for the end user.

This mod requires an installation of the ALMS 2007 Mod – but this mod can not be downloaded because the author page turn4graphics.com does not longer exists ! (reviewed in July 2018) – i also searched the web for alternative dl-sources, but without success…that means the FIA GT 2009 Mod must be updated from someone or you need good game knowledge to get it work for yourself.

therefore i recommend the following alternative mods :

NAGP ALMS COMPLETE MOD v4.5 Patched – includes FIA GT cars from 2007-2010 + addons

FIA GT 2000-2009 Collection Mod – will be also soon available here on esport-racing.de

Mod based on current FIA GT Championship.

Difference between this and FIA GT Championship 09 MOD is that this contains all cars from current season including all Ferrari Teams. (in FIA GT Champ 09 they where from FIA GT 2008 MOD)

Also including Gamus96 Nissan Motorsport Team and Daniel24919 Sangari Team Brazil.

Championship file is set for three new tracks (tracks download links in readme file)

Budapest, Hungaroring – which is included in official championship

Aston Martin DBRS9 is still too slow, I tried with DBR9 but then is too fast so he is here to complete grid…

The 2009 FIA GT Championship season was the thirteenth season of the FIA GT Championship for grand tourer cars competing in the GT1 and GT2 categories. The season began 3 May, and ended 25 October after eight races. This was also the final season of a combined GT1 and GT2 championship before the launch of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2010.

Vitaphone Racing Team Maserati drivers Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini successfully defended their GT1 Championships, pulling clear of the rivals in the final two events of the season after a close battle with the Peka Racing Chevrolet team of Anthony Kumpen and Mike Hezemans. Bartels and Bertolini won races at Adria International Raceway and Hungaroring in the way to the title, a third championship each for the pair. With the assistance of Miguel Ramos and Alex Müller in the team’s second Maserati MC12 GT1, Vitaphone Racing Team also secured the Teams Championship.

In the lower specification GT2 category, former Porsche Supercup champion Richard Westbrook won the GT2 championship, driving a Prospeed Competition Porsche. Westbrook won the title by just two points over AF Corse Ferrari pairing of Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander. Controversially Westbrook was split from his season long partner Emmanuel Collard at the final round, swapping cars with Brixia Racing driver Marco Holzer in a successful attempt to maximise Porsche’s chances of defeating the Ferrari pairing. AF Corse, with the help of the team’s second car of Álvaro Barba and Niki Cadei, did defeat Prospeed in the teams championship. CRS Racing driver Chris Niarchos was awarded the Citation Cup for amateur drivers.

Install Instructions and Settings :

Deinstall older versions :

Delete old version of FIA GT 2009 MOD. In 2007 ALMS MOD Folder, YOU MUST delete cars of FIA GT 2009 MOD because if not after installing this version they will be double in game.

Delete also (or just replace when asked):

Installation :

The following Mods are needed to run the FIA GT Mod 2009 – make sure you have installed it first :

WSGT Mod v1.0

ALMS 2007 Mod (no download source available)

Japan SGT300 Mod v1.3

Install :

Extract Gamedata folder to GTR2\ directory and replaced when asked

*****create backup copy of old cars .car file if you have modd them****

*Extract Track Loading Screen if you want to have those pictures at tracks loading time
*Extract UIData folder to have new load screen (create a backup ofl old one before)
