Kyalami Racing Circuit (from Khaya lami, My home in Zulu) is a motor racing circuit located in Midrand, Gauteng province, South Africa. The circuit has been used for Grand Prix and Formula One races and has hosted the South African Grand Prix many times. Among the Formula One races held at the track the 1977 South African Grand Prix stands out, as it is principally remembered for the fatal accident that claimed the lives of race marshal Frederick Jansen van Vuuren and driver Tom Pryce.
In recent years, the area surrounding the circuit has developed into a residential and commercial suburb of Johannesburg. More recently, Kyalami has played host to five rounds of the Superbike World Championship from 1998 to 2002 and later in 2009 and 2010, the season finale of the Superstars Series in 2009 and 2010, and the South African round of the 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season.

This is a reworked Kyalami version based on the old converted Kyalami79. I always meant to smooth out the corners and mesh in the first conversion of the papyrus track, in the end started again. The 70 Kyalami, layout can be used 60’s upto the 80’s…
as it made for better racing with larger grids /.. bent reality a little with leaving pitbuilding open again to garage the cars for use in these formats..added static marshals, filled in the infields. remapped and retextured roads, barriers and grasses , odd signs…animated marshals and rain reflections in gtr2 version.
if you want to use the enclosed tyre groove drop it loose into your locations folder.
update infos v1.1 :
this is a small fix for the pit building so the columns show properly when in Garage, and the animated marshals repositioned behind barrier on the pits straight ..but removed the Kya hills so that the background blends better. after extracting the rar, copy the files into 70Kyalami folder and let the ani file and trk file overwrite the originals and the gmt can sit loose with the marshal dds files.
