Mod Infos :
In the 2008 IMSA Challenge for Porsche GT3 Cup cars, you’re racing against 30+ identical cars in two classes – the Platinum Cup for 2008 cars and the Gold Cup for older (slightly slower) cars. You’re racing for overall and class honours!
Supporting the ALMS race series, there are 14 races on 7 classic tracks across the USA and Canada. Practice and qualifying are important and you should note that the results of the first race set the starting grid for the second race at each track.
The 2008 IMSA Challenge mod is by kiwisteve, with major help from COLVIN35 and JimC at www.turn4graphics.com. It is based on the PMSC_08 mod by kiwisteve and Schuchi with big thanks to GRF – German Racing Factory – for the original Porsche Carrera Cup 2006 mod! Big thanks too to all the real life IMSA Challenge racing teams who helped us out!
You will need to download the tracks not included as standard with GTR2. See below for where to get them. You can also run this mod on other tracks and outside the championship by choosing the mod in the game’s CLASS selector.
Install Instructions :
First you will need the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2008
Install the PMSC_08 mod as instructed (you DON’T need the PMSC_08 tracks!).
Extract the IMSAC_08 mod’s .rar file and copy the GameData folder into the GTR2 folder, let all overwrite (no original GTR2 files will be affected!).
