Description :
Hello everyone,
here is Nürburgring Gesamtstrecke. It features the combination of both 70s Nordschleife and Südschleife of the twenties with a length of 28,2 kilometres. The Gesamtstrecke was used for the very first race on the Nürburgring in June 1927 but was not used after 1931 anymore.
Original rFactor version by Kackbratze, who combined the Nordschleife by MotorFX and Südschleife by Nick303.
GTR2 conversion by Lachub, whom I got it from. Big thanks to all of them.
I did not do anything but to share this masterpiece here because I think everyone should have this track.
Please do not share everywhere else than here.
Track Infos from Wiki :
The Nürburgring is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a much longer Nordschleife “North loop” track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The north loop is 20.8 km (12.9 mi) long and has more than 300 metres (1,000 feet) of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. Jackie Stewart nicknamed the old track “The Green Hell”.
Originally, the track featured four configurations: the 28.265 km (17.563 mi)-long Gesamtstrecke (“Whole Course”), which in turn consisted of the 22.810 km (14.173 mi) Nordschleife (“North Loop”), and the 7.747 km (4.814 mi) Südschleife (“South Loop”). There also was a 2.281 km (1.417 mi) warm-up loop called Zielschleife (“Finish Loop”) or Betonschleife (“Concrete Loop”), around the pit area.
more infos about the Nordschleife
The Nürburgring Südschleife (south loop) was a German motor racing circuit which was built at the same time as the world-famous Nürburgring Nordschleife (north loop). These two layouts were joined together by the Start und Ziel (start/finish) area and could therefore be driven as one track that was over 28 kilometres (17 mi) long.
Opened in 1927, the Südschleife was rarely used after the Nordschleife was rebuilt and updated in 1970 and 1971 and was finally destroyed by the building of the current Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit in the early 1980s. Today only small sections of the original track remain.
